DevSecOps Security Engineer

Hiring! Sr. Application Security and Mid level App. Security Engineer for our direct client located in Reston, VA. Seeking W2 Candidates. This position is primarily remote with occasional on-site meetings in Reston, VA area, and candidates from anywhere in the US are acceptable.

(this is not a Network Sec position). We will not respond to C2C requests.

This senior role will focus on leading application security within the SDLC/DevSecOps pipeline.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Req 49965) - Strong SDLC, DevSecOps, DevOps knowledge; embedded pipeline security experience 4

- Cloud security expertise: AWS (IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda), EKS, container security, cloud migration

- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 , CNAPP, SaaS/DaaS/IaaS/ACX security models 6

- Hands-on experience with security testing tools (specific tools adaptable; Jenkins used on-site)

- Strong communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with development teams

- Lead/ownership role; must coordinate internally and with external dev teams

Licenses/Certifications

- CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional Upon Hire Req or

- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred
