About the role

We are seeking a Level 2 Cyber Security and Compliance Advisor to join our rapidly growing Cyber Security Division. This is a mid-level role sitting between our Level 1 Cyber Analysts and Head of Cyber Security, combining hands-on alert triage / SOC expertise with strategic advisory capability.

You will play a key role in delivering our Outsourced CISO (vCISO) services, supporting clients in strengthening their cyber security posture, achieving compliance objectives, and responding effectively to threats.

This is a client-facing role requiring both deep technical understanding and the ability to communicate cyber risk at an executive and board level.

- Essential

- Previous experience in a Cyber Security Analyst and Compliance Consulting role is critical (5 years minimum)

- Confident and Professional communication skills including an ability to articulate cyber risks at an Executive and Board level

- Strong understanding of SOC operations including MDR/XDR and SIEM tools to perform threat detection and analysis

- Analytical and detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on technical work

- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to continuous improvement

- Customer first focus with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong desire to help our clients

- Excellent client services focus and skills both on telephone and in person

- Attention to detail to ensure information is accurately captured and documented

- Excellent organisational and communication skills both written & verbal

- Current Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) accreditation

- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background and security screening

- Sound understanding of Cyber Security related frameworks including:

- Essential 8

- NIST Cyber Security Framework

- CIS Controls

- SMB1001

- ISO27001/2

- Solid technical foundation across networks, systems and cloud environments

- Exposure to penetration testing outputs and security awareness platforms

- Highly regarded

- Additional Cyber related certifications such as Security+, CEH, CCSP, etc. 

- Department of Defense clearance

- Knowledge of AI systems and how to implement AI systems and agents safely and securely (e.g. SecAI+)
