Security Engineer (SOC & Cloud Security)
SNI Technology is seeking an experienced Security Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, cloud-first environment where you'll play a key role in protecting enterprise systems, digital assets, and high-value creative content.

- Pay: $70-$80/hr. (negotiable and based on background/experience
- Weekly pay every Friday
- Contract Role: Strong potential to convert to a permanent position based on performance and business needs

What You'll Do
- Serve as a senior resource within the Security Operations Center (SOC), monitoring and responding to security events.
- Perform proactive cyber threat hunting and coordinate remediation activities.
- Detect and investigate advanced threats using enterprise security tools and threat intelligence.
- Develop and maintain Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and Indicators of Attack (IOAs) to improve detection capabilities.
- Leverage threat intelligence platforms and security feeds to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
- Participate in incident response efforts, investigations, containment, and recovery activities.
- Prepare technical reports and communicate security findings, incidents, and recommendations to leadership and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve security operations and detection capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or enterprise cybersecurity environment.
- Strong understanding of incident response, threat detection, and security operations.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies, including: - SIEM platforms
- IDS/IPS solutions
- Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)
- Email and web security technologies
- Security monitoring and detection tools
- Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document incidents and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following technologies or disciplines is highly desirable:
- Cyber Threat Intelligence platforms
- Cloud-native SIEM and SOAR solutions
- CNAPP technologies (CSPM, CIEM, DSPM, CASB)
- AI Security Posture Management
- User & Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM/SSO)
- Passwordless authentication (FIDO2/Passkeys)
- Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Network and endpoint security
- Incident response tools and automation
Preferred Certifications
One or more of the following certifications is preferred:
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
- GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
- GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM)
- GIAC Network Forensics Analyst (GNFA)
- Offensive Security certifications (OSCP, OSCE, or similar)
- Other relevant cybersecurity certification
