Position: Senior Vulnerability Researcher / Reverse Engineer

Location: Columbia, MD (on-site)

Experience Requirement:

- 12+ years with a Bachelor’s degree, OR

- 10+ years with a Master’s degree, OR

- 4 additional years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree

Description We are seeking a Senior Vulnerability Researcher / Reverse Engineer to operate as a versatile, high-impact technical contributor supporting advanced software analysis and development efforts. This role is ideal for a well-rounded engineer who combines deep reverse engineering expertise with strong development and analytical capabilities.

You will work embedded within a collaborative team environment, tackling complex, networked codebases and identifying vulnerabilities while also contributing to development, testing, and analysis efforts. This position requires a proactive mindset, the ability to work independently, and the versatility to support a wide range of technical challenges across the full lifecycle of analysis and development.

Responsibilities - Reverse engineer complex, networked codebases to understand functionality and identify vulnerabilities

- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to align technical efforts with mission objectives

- Translate high-level ideas into actionable technical approaches and solutions

- Independently pursue analytical leads and contribute insights to ongoing efforts

- Support development and testing activities across team initiatives

- Contribute to a highly collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment

Skills Requirements - Advanced reverse engineering skills

- Strong software development experience

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

- Knowledge of vulnerability discovery techniques and methodologies

- Understanding of networking technologies and protocols

- Experience working in collaborative team environments

Nice to Haves - Experience discovering novel software vulnerabilities

- Experience working in vulnerability research or exploitation-focused roles

- Experience in operational or hands-on technical environments

- Experience contributing as a software developer in complex systems

- Broad technical exposure across reverse engineering, development, and analysis domains

Compensation & Employment Policy Salary is determined by multiple factors, including location, education, experience, skills, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $200,000 – $250,000 (annualized USD).
